Fuel Gauge

Hey gents

I am not sure if this was discussed before but....

my fuel gauge is messing about. my question though, is it the gauge itself because one minute its in half and if I switch off the car and start up again, it goes to quarter. I never really watch it because I usually get about 550 out of a tank which includes some spirited driving but now its a concern because I cant remember what was the last reading. LOL

Reset your cluster see if it helps , if it doesn't have a look at your fuel level sender unit and fuel pump level sender , might be sticking or just dirty contacts.

I had a similar issue at one stage. They gauge would suddenly start rising while I'm driving.....took the seat out and tried measuring the sensors....problem sorted itself out tho.
