I've been doing a bit of thinking regarding my car. E90 335i N54.
Now I know that injectors are a common fault on this vehicle so I got to thinking if there was any preventative measures to be taken to help preserve the life of the injectors.
Now I'm quite a noob so please correct me if I'm barking up the wrong tree.
So the path ive taken with my cabby would be changing the oil every 10000kms, along with that I wanted to know if changing the fuel filter would benefit my car in the long run. I know that we have really crappy fuel and with my ex diesel cars they developed injector problems when using 500pp diesel so would the same theory not apply. The fuel filter filters impurity in the fuel thereby improving life of the injector???????
If so would it not be advisable to change the fuel filter more regularly? As I said its just something I thought about, i'm almost certain that I am wrong.
What is the cost of a fuel filter on our vehicles?
