Fuel Consumption in City traffic

Driving with my 320d everyday is a joy. I should have chanced to diesel long ago. I got 12km/l in city traffic with the air con on al the way. The comfort, power and the driving pleasure is awesome.

It makes a HUGE difference, bumper to bumper traffic kills consumption figures.

I'm clearly doing something wrong, 14l on average, and much more if I use the boost. If it wasn't for free petrol I would have been driving a diesel long ago..

Petrol e24 - 17l/100 - E34 v8 - 16l/100 , E39 v8 - 14l/100, z4 3.0i - 11.3l/100
but drops when we find open road
E24 - 9l/100 - E34 v8 - 9.4/100 , E39 v8 - 9l/100, z4 3.0i - 9.1/100
