PLLEEEEAAAAASSEE Help

My blower fan in my new E39 is acting up. No fan what so ever. According to BimmerForum it is the FSR but after replacing no luck. Also the aux fan in front does not kick in. Apparently these are both on the same circuit but there are no busted fuses.

When switching on the car the unit(FSR) heats up as well. I am at a loss, anyone that knows please help, any ideas are welcome.

Thanks
Leon

Both those units are electronically controlled, meaning a fiddle within the fuse box is prob not your answer.

Easiest way to pick up whats happening is plugging into the ECU with some decent diag software, you in JHB ?

If so, swing past my place.

Yes Sir (In JHB), do you think the box would pick up an error on the blower motor.

Man I am so F@$#ing frustrated. Water is off at home, new car acting up, they internet defrauded my wife out of whatever the hell she had in her account yesterday. I want to kick the s@%t out of something at the moment.

Anyway, the good people on this site might shed some inspiration on my car issues.

Well, the software that I have allows you to run tests on the individual components, and you can run fans/adjust stepper motors, all of those good things, so I am sure we can figure something out, and having TIS helps as well, pull in when you have a gap.

And its the E39 not the E36?, I may have a problem with E36 still waiting for the cable, but E39 no problem.
