Need advice on what is the best to use to protect the bonnet and fron lights from chips and damage. I drive a lot as u all know and have picked up some small chips. Not a lot but I would prefer haveing protection. No glove no love. :)

Based in JHB.

Nothing comes to mind. I had a fake carbon fibre bonnet protector on my 4x4, but no way i'm putting that on my bmw. Take it to a panelbeater once a year for a quick nose job.

There is a clear protective vinyl type of product that may assist with reducing the impact of stone chips. Recall a company called VPS protection that offered this product, this could be applied to the front of your car.

I use this on all my cars, you will notice it. Only from a distance. It's rather pricey, to cover the lights, bumper and front bonnet section of your average sedan will set you back around 4k or more.

I saw VPS on a white car the other day. After a while it gets this yellow'ish colour, and,in my opinion, that looks horrible.

Yep sometimes if the UV damages the VPS that way, but remember its not permanent, its supposed to be changed every 5 years. I however dont like the look of it.
