From Supra to a family wagon

Car looks good.
I am sure I spotted it one morning next to me at the robots at the corner of Lenchen and Rooihuiskraal roads. I turned left into Rooihuiskraal road and this car went straight down Lenchen. I was in the white F30 with the Rennzport stickers.
Thanks.
Yeah most likely it was me (or my wife as she dailys the car). I live in Centurion.

It’s been just over a year ownership. Don’t really realise how time has gone by with life being so busy these days.

Did around 13k kms during this period, so it’s no garage queen; prefer it this way.
Average fuel consumption is now at 12.8l/100kms. We’ve been to Durban once, and 90% of the time the car is used in peak traffic, stop start situation with minimal highway driving. So I guess consumption is decent for what the car is - big, heavy and V6 with twin turbo. I don’t think one can be delusional and expect this level of power and driving dynamics and relative levels of economy. 350 kms per tank seems to be the norm.

My wife still uses it (as her daily) when she needs to go to the office, and then we use it occasionally on the weekend. Considering another car for the SO, but that does not make sense financially with the Audi ready and available for use.

It’s strange for me that I’ve not done any mods to this car in 12 months. Has to be a new record 😅😅. Also means, that I’ve found a car that is somewhat ‘perfect’ for me.
Modding cars, minor or major has always been something I’ve enjoyed; able to personalise one’s car, make it look better, handle better, sound better, etc to individual taste. And that was also part of the reason for buying the Swift sport which would allow me to play on this platform, and satisfy my ‘mod bug’

Normally, I’ll start to get the itch now to buy something else. Audi has tried to get me to change and get the RS4/5 Competition and offered my a great great deal (current new price on the RS4 is ridiculous, so received an extremely good trade), but don’t think the Competition (still can’t believe Audi used this name) is a 500k better car than what I have.

However, I’ve been keeping a side eye on the G80 M3 which I’ve grown to love.
For now, I’ll continue enjoying the RS life 😄

Forgot to add, the car spent 2 weeks at Audi. Not at once but over a period of 6 weeks or so. This was to sort out an issue I had with my Apple Car Play/Android Auto/navigation/Bluetooth. None of these things were working as a control module that also controls the SOS system had to be replaced.
Part was ordered from Germany, together with a part for the adaptive suspension that was causing a minor rattle. Car has been sorted, everything is now perfect with a 44k bill.

Audi Centurion was good, with a courtesy car provided at all times. Was great premium service

Still love this car, the look, the feel, just everything. Definitely gets lots of attention for a family station wagon

We very likely ran into each at a few of the RS Club meetups, the Stonehaven (Vaal) in particular. I had a Clio RS (197) back then.
I’m sure we did man. Used to attend many of the RS Club events back in the day.
Car world is a small place 😄
