From chrome to black

Hey guys,

So in my car's currently stock state, it looks like I either work for the government or I'm an ANC rep :fencelook:

I'd love to replace the chrome kidney grill with a black one (matt, gloss or carbon) and I also want to replace the chrome trim above my doors to black as well.

Is this something that can just be vinyl wrapped, plastidipped or sprayed over?

This is how the car currently looks. Need the chrome gone.

black chrome.... or shadow chrome....

The black chrome looks quite good but I'm afraid that it might stand out a bit too much above the doors.

Plastidipping the grill - won't it start to peel off? Will the heat from the engine not affect it?

The biggest part I don't like is the chrome above the doors :yuck:

Plasti dip is the way to go.

Just sent PlastiDip South Africa an email requesting a quote

Next on the list is a rear diffuser and some front splitters:inlove:

As the consensus, plastidip FTW!

There's a place 10 minutes from my house that stocks the plastidip. Gonna order it next week and begin spraying

Thanks to all for the help :ty:

Good luck!! Look forward to seeing the results! What's nice is that if you don't like it or get bored with it, just peel it off.
