I gapped a new gti 7 with massive stickers all over rear.. racechip? Something like that...

Lets just say he didn't want to play with me after a little 1st and 2nd gear pull...:tiptoe:

If it scares you in a straight line go find a nice and twisty road especially in the wet RWD + Wet corners = Heaven :rollsmile::cartel:

Tried that this weekend! The ass loves geting a little squigly even in sport mode with most of the DSC on, I have a healthy respect for this car! Think I might go play at Zwartkops on the skidpan at the end of the month. Need a safe space to get to know her, its my first RWD :coolShake:

Hahahaha, happened to me in my modded GTI aswell! Had a full zorst, DP and software and thought I could play with the big boys... 335i taught me a few lessons. The Dynamic traction control on these cars is amazing, thought I would slip everywhere with launch control, pleasantly surprised!

Yeah, definitely an option, how do I know if the car is EWG or PWG? I assume this would be EWG because its the newer gen, but I stand to be corrected.. How safe is the JB4?

It's EWG.
JB4 is pretty safe pending who installs it. As is with any modding there is a risk, stock cars can also break, but on a stock car you won't have to wonder if it's anything you added.

Personally I enjoyed my car stock standard, and I had peace of mind that if it broke it could go back to bmw without any reservations.

Beats me how it can be scary in a straight line unless you come from something seriously asthmatic. You'll probably want dp and software soon - stuff MP.

RWD trumps everything else for fun though. Take it to Zwartkops if you truly want to appreciate its abilities.

I think a GTI is far from asthmatic, and a jump from 162kw to 240kw is considerable imho! The car scared me in a straight line whilst testing out launch control with DSC off... When you've never felt the ass of a car sliding like that it makes an impression on you! :skit:
