M135i does look interesting, Or do I zip my mouth and wait a bit, then get a nice late model LCI M3? these are hens teeth though , I'm confused now.

Can anyone comment on how well a manual M135i goes? is the manual gearbox similar to the coupe 135i?

I went to Monte Carlo Auto and saw a M3 LCI yesterday :fencelook:

You again with your influencing tendencies, Lol I will check this out post a link if you can.

That's going to be a tough car to replace.

Late model Z4 M-Coupe? It is a manual at least. Not sure what year these ended production on.

Logically, I think a E90 M3 V8, would be way to go.........

Z4m Was my choice before the 135i, I drove one scary but fun as hell. I could not get one in the right year model i.e >= 2009

Wait for M235i

i think he mentioned between R350k and R400k. The M235i is going to come in at a lot more than that.

Looked stunning.

So did the E36 M3 German Spec.
And the second E36 M3...
And the E23 745i...
And the E65 730d...
And the 330ci convertible...
And the E70 X5 Hamman spec...
And the 635csi...

I would say for a four door sedan go for the e60 bmw M5. How much do they go for in SA? I know here in the states you can get a nice one for roughly $29,000

We get raped with car prices here. But I dont think they are thaaat expensive because the E60 has such an ugly bum.

Around R300 000 for an E60 M5...

That's around $27 000

The E60 M5 is crazy expensive out of warranty to maintain and that gearbox is very touchy .Electronic oil level just puts the cherry on top of the Kak waiting to happen pile.

just go for a test drive in a 135i dct. set it to manual mode with sport button on. use the gear lever to change rather than the paddles. i promise you wont be disappointed. i was also a manual man.

otherwise if you want to look out of the bmw market for a four door sedan, I think one of the best cars is the e55 AMG. My brother owned one and it was crazy fast. Now put a chip and pulley on it and there are very few cars that would touch it :inlove:

I agree on the M5 tho. I would not dare own a e60 M5 without a warranty, but I do like that engine tho

I think you are probably the 5th person I heard this from. I am intrigued now will make a stop past the dealer go for test drive if one is available. That's my Friday wasted.

Back with this dilemma again, as secondhand car prices are dropping, there are lot more options. I am hunting for an.........dare I say it...........dun dun daaa.........
..........................................E90..M3.

My 135i is at the dealer for turbo replacement so waiting for it to comeback, then lets see what BMW can offer me.

I realized the M3 does not have the torque but yeah I am a Fanboy.

Who can comment having made this move from x35 to E9X m3? Lets hear your thoughts and comparisons between the two cars
