im even tempted if only the 5 did not weigh as much as a house 
most cars now days are 300kg lighter than the new one ill have a look quick... but with the e34 weighing about 1500kg im not expecting it to be light

looks like it weighs between 1500 and 1600kg so its not as bad as i thought it would be its still about 500kg to heavy for my liking
but i could swap that engine into my car its exactly the sort of power level im looking for...
probably way to much work thou and i will need to buy another car so i have something to drive around in the mean time
in the end i think its better someone else who will enjoy the car buys it rather than me hacking it up

I thought scam since I see the seller is immigrating to the UK. Are you not Emmigrating to the UK from SA? But the fact that he uses the term 'flicker' makes me think that he might be afrikaans.
Super nice price, but with any mechanical snags on a 540 the price usually drops considerably.

interesting that it has the manual seats for a sportpack as the dude claims.
Never the less, for 25k tis a bargain, only hint is you better know what your doing if your going to buy this and fix yourself.
Dropping off the cam chains to replace guides is not a joke, and you need a special tool for it as well. Not impossible though.
It is a frikken awesome price though... Its worth 25k even without the motor... a yard motor will cost your 15 to 25k at worst.
Vanos/Non Vanos... i wonder ?

ye, saw this baby yesterday .. the guys says he doesn't know if its vanos or non-vanos ...
I'm gonna go look at the car on friday, if the engine damage is not that bad I'll take it...
he said that the engine light came on and it made "funny" noises ... seems that the chain guides broke inside the engine (plastic pieces in the sump) .. so it could be real bad, or it could be relatively simple... will see.
