Apologies from the forum staff regarding the forum outage on 2020-08-03 to 020-08-04.
The MySQL server daemon crashed as was evident by the error message displayed by the forums.
Afrihost support was contacted on Aug 3, 2020, 8:59 AM by myself via e-mail.
On Aug 4, 2020, 11:58 AM not having heard anything back after multiple emails from myself and Charles I initiated a whatsapp contact to them.
At 12:24 AM we received a correspondence that the mysql service was restarted.
Further enquiries to find out what happened, reading between the lines tell me there is not enough logging to give an answer as to what happened.
We will prioritize changing the hosting. First priority was getting the forums back up.
