I am disgusted that they blatantly lied to me about having to do diagnostics for minor repair and respray work of my car's front bumper after it would have to be removed and then refitted. They insisted that there would be cluster errors and all sorts of problems from the PDC being disconnected and diagnostics was required at R1000 above the already outrageous repair costs (not insurance claim). Ended up taking the bumper off myself, taking to Brighton's in Okavango Business Park for the repair and respray, and then collected and fitted myself. No problems with the PDC or errors on the dashboard! Also went to CMC around the corner from Brighton's who do all the repair work for Merc etc, and they price was also crazy and they also insisted on the diagnostics rubbish! Have a huge problem with dishonesty like this!

I have the invoice from the service McCarthy did on the car before i bought it. And they charged R1400 for front brake pads JUST PADS disks were cheaper forgot how much. I found that a bit hefty.

Deleted my comments, I thought the discussion was on the Forsdicks dealership in Tygervalley.

My insurance also refered me to them. by mistake a turned left instead of right in that same road. Bernies Coachworks is there and they repaired my car for me. Im very picky about how my car looks but all in all they did a pretty decent job.

I had three insurance claims fixed by Forsdicks and have been happy in all instances. Used them due to wanting to keep motorplan intact. In fact my insurance insisted that car was towed to a BMW approved panel beater.

Last one was about 2.5 years back and was a biggy - came to R86k. Idiot with a Jeep jumped a stop street and connected with my front left fender. Lots of suspension bits needed to be changed. I did wait a week longer than they promised but it was due to the car not passing the MP checks and them fixing until it did.

All three times were non-events. Car towed their, couple of phone calls, got car back and no returns.

Would I go there with my own money? Seriously doubt it as their labour rates are huge. If insurance pays then definitely.
