With 184021km on the clock, my faithful 330I successfully completed the JHB -DBN trip today, and never skipped a heartbeat. I did get a DSC error twice on the way but was intermittent, will get it checked out by my Bro at BMW.

Most noticeably, the extra NA power at the coast really came alive today, and a 7GTI bore the brunt, up hill towards Gateway from Avoca side, this VAG, was passed at 190:rollsmile:

It was 8.0. Aircon on auto the whole way, average speed as per OBD, 123km/h. I think the excessive heat contributed to the higher consumption.

Although, I left with a full tank from Beyers Naude, did 634km and still have 270km left on the range and over 1/4 tank fuel:coolShake:

100% agree with OP. the crappiest day ends the minute i jump into my 330 too. this is what most non bmw people dont quite understand. honestly, there have been times when i've taken the long way home just enjoy the car for a bit.

i've spent a ton of cash on this car for maintenance, and people think im crazy for doing that.. but its all worth it to me

love my 330i as well:rollsmile:

just recently a little over a month ago redid my front lower control arms and stabiliser links with meyle HD's, and fitted Koni shocks, and am really VERY VERY VERY much enjoying the fun handling and feel of the car now,
drives so nicely and is such a fun car especially mated to the M54B30, what a combo,

always loved the engine, seriously loved, for an N/A L6 it really has such lovely characteristics and such a beautiful acoustic note,

i as always look and pine over other cars but always end up appreciating my 330i at the end of the day, just a quick drive reassures that,

i think i will keep keeping it for a while still to come, was 2 years with it this August,
ever since my first e46 323ci i have fallen in love with these cars, and the 3.0lt is just a gem,

i dont want to ruin the car but with the S/C kit i currently have for sale, i am very seriously thinking on keeping and fitting it just to ensure i hang onto the 330i for longer

bmw at its best, period.
what an awesome allrounder, it always reminds me of that everyday, cant believe a daily drive could be this fun,

soon going to redo brakes and cooling system, then can really push and enjoy her:=):

cant wait.....:clapper:

i agree with everyone above:praise::praise::praise:
