Sometimes you just have crap day and nothing ever works out. Then you need to make that trip home.
Nothing can cheer me up more than hearing the sweet sound of my E46 330i.
I normally drive quite conservatively trying to get the best economy with the current fuel prices.
Today I decided to to us the full throttle a bit. I reminded myself of how athletic the M54B30 is:praise:
That sheer acceleration instantly put me in. Better mood for my weekend.
Sometimes you forgot how fast your car actually is until you give your car a wake up call and it gives you back a proper reality check in my case:inlove:
Thanks BMW, I love my 330i and would never sell it:inlove:
E46 FTW:ty:

Must say, the 330i 6MT really flies at the coast. It will return to the reef tomorrow.
Excellent consumption on the way to Durban. Consumed 7.7L/100km. Reached my destination with 645km done and stil had 140km left on the range.
All this with the 3.38 diff.

Poor man's M3.

Even though my fiance's 330i has now 252000km on it, it still goes like a dream and returns 9.0lt/100km in mixed driving. Such an awesome car!

With the dual 57mm freeflow on the 330i my fiance would sometimes set certain car alarms off in her work basement parking when she started it in the afternoons, those people ended up requesting other parking locations, lol.
There is something so intoxicating about a cold start up 330i!!!:inlove:

I seriously need to get the 3.0lt touring conversion done now! She's terribly lacking in the power department!

I can relate:rollsmile: love the sound of that motor. I'm told it sounds even better from outside. Can you believe that I have had my car for almost a year now and I've not heard what it sounds like from outside:fencelook: almost every week I get someone coming up to me commenting on how good my car sounds:rollsmile:

I return an average of 10.4L/100km on my daily return from Weltevreden Park to Sandton Central daily. It is a mundane trip with average speed of 29.3km/h:thumbdo:

This morning I left a little earlier and had some open roads on my way. So I decided to plant the 330 a bit, and boy did it not complain:cartel:

On my daily route, it is driven like driving Miss Daisy, but this morning the athlete in the M54B30 really woke up:rollsmile:

It reminds me every time it stretches it loooooong legs, that for a 12 year old car, it can really show some of the cars of today, a clean pair of heels:rollsmile:

Most reliable bmw engine I have ever experienced. In my eyes the M54B30 is a better motor than its temperamental bigger brother the S54....:tiptoe:
The M54 never goes wrong which is what makes it a better daily driver. Good to see it still puts a smile on you face after many years of faithful service Yuben.

Awesome cars those... My brother has a 2004 330i Individual in Scarab (sp) Green, and it only has 112 000km on the clock...

I have the same motor in my Z3... I will NEVER get over the groan when you start it... :tiptoe:
