@ Avi...go the AMS route even though it is a few pennies more but we know you are getting a good tried & tested product & if you are based in the Cape you have the support from Rennzport.
@ Kruzo....a very good question and based on a few of our own dyno runs, if you have meth the IC becomes irrelevant...but more testing should be done to be conclusive, which time i do not have unfortunately ....But here is the thing which i had to consider and the reason i went for both.
1. Once the IC is installed its there and does its job to bring temps down....you forget about it but reap the benefit anytime....anywhere
2. Meth not only lowers temps but also increases octane quality which an IC cannot do....hence delivers more power than an IC can by itself. But meth is a challenging install, it must be monitored, maintained and cost money to fill up even though its cost is marginal...while the IC only sits there in front and looks pretty.
3. But the other reason i keep both is because Meth only has value when it flows...it does nothing when it does not flow...and does meth spray all the time? No it does not...so on our heatsoak prone cars i like to know the IC is doing its job to help lowering temps when it is not flowing in my gauge window.
4. So an IC, Meth and aftermarket intake filter (eg. DCI/ram intake or drop-in filters) all play a role to combat heatsoak and increase power and don't forget that (tune) just in case (Mos1ted) pulls up next to you
