First time BMW owner

Hi everyone, I’ve recently purchased an e87 120d Msport.

I’ve read quite a few posts about the 320d and 120d’s and decided to make the jump to owning a bmw after owning numerous Vw’s (still own 1 though, a mk5 Gti) .

I’m super excited about finally owning a bmw, and the modifications I have planned for it.

Year model and mileage?
if its the N47T motor you'd be in luck as the only knows issues were the damper pulley around 150,000km and standard ZF check on the gearbox. both not compulsory but necessary for longevity.

It’s a 2008 model, and it has 98000kms

I used bmwvin.com … and it says it has the n47

should the check be done now or also at around 150 000kms?

if its the first N47 and not the N47T, I would want peace of mind and get the timing chain checked. the N47T had this rectified.

Also have the swirl flaps & EGR removed for longevity. Solid cars once you do the preventative maintenance.
