Evening guys.

2015 has been a really really long year with alot of lessons learned, friendships made, laughter shared and new fond memories during the course of the year.

My car on its own has tested my patience on a few occasions, such as the damn keys getting locked while inside the car at ODI, and then the waterpunp going 1km before the dyno venue. I can laugh about it now, but it was truly frustrating at the time [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]....

The last 2 months have also had challenges with me sorting out suspension bits and doing a nice refresh on my 8 year old bits. Through it all, I have to say, I enjoy the car more and more every time I add something on, and really do enjoy sorting things out myself. It's kind of therapeutic [KISSING FACE WITH CLOSED EYES]

After the water pumps story, it was nice attending the Jsn mini concourse and totally humbling winning an award.

Pics from the day taken by Divio....can't thank you enough bro..
Big thanks to Luis for allowing us to take some pics with his MLE

This one is from someone else...

On the day of the breakfast run, I managed to crack my bumper by avoiding a head on collision with an inconsiderate idiot. I had to climb a curb very quickly, and due to my low suspension, I hit it hard and cracked it.

I saw this as the perfect opportunity to kill 2 birds with one stone, and finally fitted my performance side skirts which were stored since July....

A fellow fanatic, Naeem carried out all the work for me and needless to say, his professionalism, attention to detail and commitment to keeping his clients happy really made it a pleasure doing business with him. I will definately continue to use him for any other work and will also recommend him to others.

On to the pics

I thought this was the end of doing stuff to the car, but after receiving low ball offers on the 20inch performance rims, I decided to just fit them last Thursday. The wheel whore in me was itching to do so in any case.

Fitted 10mm spacers in front and 20mm spacers at the rear to bring them out to acceptable stance.

Pics taken over Christmas weekend.

My stint with the wheels may be the shortest ever though, as I have someone who came home to loan a spark tool, ending up loving the wheels and Insha Allah ( if God will) , we will conclude a deal tomorrow. I can thank Peter for sending the chap my way [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Thanks for looking and reading Chaps....

Wishing you all a great 2016.

This must be the best looking pre-facelift LCi 35 bmw never built, it's down right awsome looking in person, with a combination of aesthetic mods, jus to bring out the best of the E90 body style, together with the Mags :chef:....done to taste...very good taste.

So 2016 didn't have a good start with regard to my car and an incident occurred on the 2nd which testing my patience and resolve.

When selling the 20inch rims on the 30th, the active steering gave a fault and despite our best efforts to sort this out we couldn't do it at the fitment center. Gert from OBDWORX was kind enough to log onto my car remotely that same day to see if we could come right, but we finally realised that the car needed to be on alignment bay and alignment MUST be done via the odb port in order to sort it out. Fast forward to the 2nd Jan. I drop off the car and head to work. At 1pm I get the call from the fitment center saying there's good news and bad news, good news.....alignment sorted, bad news....both my fenders and bumpers are damaged by the alignment machine
This happened when the car requested the steering to be turned left right and left again, the guy forgot to remove the alignment clamps and this caused the damage.

Suprislingly.....even though I pour my heart and soul into looking after my car, I didn't strip my moer off, as I was thinking of my dad and the advises he always despensed to me, so I kept my calm and took the call. However, I thibk the main reason I didn't loose my head, is the owner of the fitment center made the call himself and was extremely apologetic and genuinely so. I didn't even have to say it, as he immediately said he will pay for whatever the costs of getting it sorted. I picked the car up after work, washed her off and left her under the covers for a whole month, waiting for the insurance company to give the green light.

After exactly a month, the work has finally started to sorted everything out via our forum member Naeem Hoosen. The man's previous work on my car and a few other forum members speaks for itself.

Hoping to have her back soon so I can complete and fit some new goodies which arrived this week as well.

Thanks for reading Chaps.

Goood Morning. Small update.

Friday night I got my car back from the Panel Beater and man what a brilliant job he did on it. All the small niggles which were really bothering me as well, like the pdc sensors not being flush, my ram air scoops being loose, mesh not being being as tight as I would wanted, EVERYTHING was addressed and sorted.

Without a doubt, I will suggest him to anyone that asks [OK HAND SIGN] [CLAPPING HANDS SIGN][OPEN HANDS SIGN]

I'm more then happy with how it turned out and just happy that she's back home in the garage.
