That is one of life's greatest mysteries. I even looked through old ads, thought maybe there was a dolphin in the ad or something...

Same with the "g-string" name attached to the E46. I just don't get it.

I've noticed that the LCI E90's do not have them and the Pre LCI have. Could it maybe just be that BMW dropped it in the LCI?

I have a pre LCI E90 - no bluetooth, no navigation, no phone anything etc and my car has it.

Well, yes, although mine has it, cell phone and bluetooth has not been enabled.

Like I mentioned, my car was fitted with a Nokia cell phone kit when i bought it, but it had the little arial fixed to the inside of the windscreen, and thus no fin on the back.

You can buy the original antenna cover from BMW, its around R300 if memory serves. Just colour code it and fit.

Seems than that for some reason it was left out on the LCI. Cause I have bluetooth and cellphone kit without the "fin"

Going to buy one, have it color coded and it it, I kinda like the look with it.
