Well done to Batty Boy running 12.8 today. I think that's the fastest CSL in the land, unless someone corrects me. And I think that's also the fastest NA E46 SMG around. The reason I emphasize SMG is that I believe that if the car had a manual 'box it would be 0.2-0.3 quicker. Manual has a distinct advantage in a drag racing application. One can warm the tyres, choose your launch rpm, improvise with the clutch off the line, & I even believe one can shift faster. SMG isn't that quick at shifting, especially a high rpm shift in a high horsepower car. Tends to drag the shift.
Also heard fromt he track that East London is 0.3-0.4 slower than Killarney. Everyone today said it's the slowest track around. E46 M3's run 14's there, even worse than altitude times.
Anyway, well done Batty, let's go to ODI & lay the smack down!
