Fan/ aircon problem

Guess who's back . Pofsie's back. This time with a blower fan problem. So today we were driving and I noticed that the airflow inside the cabin was much slower than usual. Cranking the blower fan to max power did up the airflow somewhat, but nowhere near as strong as before. On max power I did hear what sounds like a rumbling sound, more like a turbine hum, rather than a grinding sound, coming from the blower fan. I doubt this is micro filter related. any ideas?

Don't think so hellas. Ac is still cold as ice, and the ac compressor kicks in as usual. But i did not switch the ac off with the fan still on fullblast.

If i switch the ac off, the turbine like noise is much less. When the ac switches on and the system kicks is, the turbine hum becomes much more agressive.

Probably fan bearings or windings, the bearings may be offering too much resistance

Gosh I hope it is not the HVAC fan... I think that is a dashboard out job isnt it?

The car is booked in for tomorrow. Although the ac is still working and quite cold, I don't wanna risk getting stuck without AC in the middle of my holiday 400km away from home.

Depending on the capital outlay for this now, I might have to re-think the purchase of the 17" wheels.

I go nuts when it's hot in a car. Absolutely hate it.

Now that you mention it, actually yes. My rear windows decided they refuse to operate. Front windows work fine. I checked the fuses last night, but all is good.

I just replace my entire blower, AutoBahn said it might the regulator which they wanted R1200.00 got it for R250 from a scrapyard and it did not work. Took out the entire blower and got it for free from the scrapyard. The previous blowers motor got kcuf'ed for some reason.

I just came back after picking up the car from the mecchie. No fault in the blower fan. The culprit was a piece of paper that got stuck in the blower fan, scraping and jamming the blades.

The unit is now quiet, but the airflow is not as intense as before. I think I will replace the microfilter soon.

Total bill for the work today: R0,00 including VAT.

I tried to replace my micro filter, couldn't even get the panel under the steering column off lol i suck.
