I am putting this on this section because you can only see this if you are a registered BMW fanatic.I registered because i thought i would give my vast knowledge and experience to people that do not have the knowledge but are fanatics.
I do not have anything that i am buying or selling.I buy all my vehicles so they are my property and from there on i do not owe any maufacturer anything.
I have owned anything from A-Z and because of that i have perspective when looking at any brand and model.
I did auto engineering in 1986 and this was the bases of my mechanical knowledge.
I do not believe in negativity. It sucks the life out of you.
I have deleted threads in the past for the following reasons.
1)My introduction because it sounds like i am bragging but unfortunately that was the only way of saying it.Everything i have is by the grace of GOD.
2)Negativity without backup.Everyone is entitled to an opinion but the minute it becomes slanderous that is not on.
3)Hours are spent on gaining information and if people cannot give a thank you i have to assume it is information not wanted. Why clog up a site with unwanted information
Seeing my intro is not there let me give a few facts.
I drove the first ever turbo car in the Vaal Triangle in 1976 and that Golf GTS gave many a story.
I introduced Nitrous OXide to the Vaal Triangle in 1978,again many a story with a Datsun 1200 being able to supply much laughter.
Being a fanatic allows you to where the day you go you can look at a movie and not a snapshot.
In 1988 in conjunction with Tarlton,SABC 3, and a National drag event I was part of speakers to try and get racing onto the circuit and off the streets and my part was proving that an ordinary street car, like my Toyota twincam 1600cc,was capable of running times and speeds of the then V8 drag vehicles.I won Senior Eliminator that day with a 13.56 171km/h.My memory is not that good but i still have the SABC3 article that was aired on National television.
This was the seed that was planted for street racing that came along years later.I only took part in the National series and as Andy 1 on the forum has seen there is virtually no trophy i have not won.
My vehicles have always been consistently fast.I smile when i see Durban standard because here in the Vaal Triange there is Joe standard.
I like 800m and 1km runs and it's a pity the 2.2km runs do not happen anymore. At Tarlton in 1994 i took the 800mtre record of 243.33km/h with my Toyota twinam GLI Turbo.
This was the seed for Louis Lima who became a regular guest at my house while i was working on his vehicles. He led his own destiny later on and also produced stories worth talking about.
Toyota Motorsport in 1988 under Ian Miller gave me sponsership for Drag Racing. How many people can claim to have had support from a International motor company? This i had till 1995 when i bought the Ford Bantam from Louis that I modified with good results. For two years this vehicle created great entertainment for Tarlton fans.
My two kids went to varsity from here and priorities change in your life.As a fanatic you stay one forever.
I would now like to address the following:
1)Ari you posted you do not know much etc about logging then continue to give an explicit review.Google is a fantastic tool today but remember it is once again only that persons perception.Your article does show merit but if you had read previous threads i posted you would have read that my tool uses 10hz recording.Your question should rather have been how does your phone produce 10hz.
My answer would be I use the Nokia 5800x Music because it has a processor for downloading music so is much quicker than most phones.Remember i have been using it for a long time so today there may be better but the downside would be that my logs of different vehicles would not be comparible. It would be like comparing one dyno to another. The other item and i am now giving you on the image below the most important part that answers your original complaint.
The phone is just a housing for the RACECHRONO software, that if a person is sceptical, can come spend some time with me and i can explain all the wonderful info you can obtain.A tool is only as good as you use it.
The actual Satellite tracking is done by QSTARZ that gives you the HZ required for accurate readings.Look up that name on Google and you will see specifications and price.

2)Shaun until it is proven the unit is incorrect please decist from putting down the item.I am the one waiting for forum members to come prove that the figures from Racechrono will not be close to the V-Box.The V-Box also uses 10hz that is why it is internationally recognised but it cannot provide the vast information i need and am used to.
As far as 328i is concerned those cars are fast over 400mts.The F30 330d is also fast over 400mts.Both these vehicles do give the 335 a hard time over this distance.
The delete on Boost level on the 328i was due to you questioning the validity of BMW"S software units. They program all the vehicles with these units and i have to question why you would attack their equipment and figures.
You maintain producing "close" to 328i figures from a 320i at 0.8bar as opposed to 1.2.I will agree you will get "close" but will have a piston reliabity issue. The 320i has a compression ratio of 11 to 1 and the 328i 10 to 1.This in fact gives the 320i a better efficiency and with that higher compression you should be able to produce same power output at 0.9bar.As i said reliability would be my concern.

Moderators please put up a poll " who wants to see and who would rather see a blank page ".
If negative remove me from the site no bad feelings.

I am JOE NIEMAND I am the PHANTOM.

PHANTOM I enjoy your posts please dont stop... some people will argue about DUST if given half a chance try not take it personally...

healthy debate is good but when people get upset and close up its no good at all

from my side any data is better than nothing... even if incorrect it can still prove useful for comparison in most cases once the correct baseline has been found...

How many people appreciate your posts?
How many people find fault with them?

Why stop because of a very small minority thereby ruining it for the majority.

Take the good with the bad and keep doing what you doing (except deleting your own threads in protest against others, that just not on)

Phantom, I will not put up a poll. I see your posts as informative as any other on this forum and whoever has a problem with it can go and get stuffed. Whether your expertise is questioned or your knowledge brought down, there is no reason for you to delete your posts nor your threads. This forum thrives off of information, whether there is a "thank you" or not. Those figures in the top right corner of each of your posts are meaningless. Either you are a good guy or you aren't. The rep system and thank you system does not determine how much of a "fanatic" you are.

I ask this: please do not delete another thread or post, whether relevant or not. Leave that up to the moderators to decide. If we feel any post needs deleting, we will move it to a deleted section where ALL other deleted threads and posts go. Our policy is to never delete a single item from this forum. Everything is on record.

If you have a problem with another member, notify a moderator. That's what we're here for.

half the people you meet in life will gain from good advice gained through experience, half wont..

please dont deprive those that would gain from it, by taking those that wont gain from it to heart..

Please continue providing your input and relaying your experiences as this is the only way that some of us can get some insight into alot of what is out there.

There will always be detractors and supporters but there are always more who remain silent but who still benefit from the sharing of information. Believe that and trust that as long as you are sincere in what you put out there, that people will benefit from it in some way and you will be appreciated for the contribution.
