Not at all. Even the much longer screws which I've used doesn't come close to touching anything at the back/behind the pedals.
The OEM pedal covers bolt on in much the same way.

I've bought another set of pedal covers (same as in post 20) for a new toy from him last week.
As before, it was a pleasure dealing with him.
I had a tracking number in little over an hour after placing the order from him.
