F80 Launch Control

LC is pretty easy on the F80.
Once engaged, it will control wheelspin for you.

Just remember to not try and change to 2nd or 3rd as the car will do this for you.

Good luck buddy should be fun, as all said, open quiet road. no harm asking for members feedback who previously done LC, that's what the forum is for and the guys here will always give positive feedback

Thanks Shuaib. I was hoping for the same as well.

Hey kimeran.
The videos I watched I thought I saw the guys manually changing as when you prepare LC the gear goes to 1 instead of D1.
So you saying that from 1 it’s all Auto.?
This I did not know. Thanks.

Yup
Even with the car in manual mode, with launch control engaged, it will change to 2nd and to 3rd on its own. After that its all yours.

If you attempt to change to 2nd just before it decides to change, it will jump to 3rd instead.

With no launch control engaged, you can sit on the red line in 1st until your motor goes boom, if you want.

Are you in Midrand/Waterfall Area?

I saw one exactly like that drive past me... That colour is rare in the M3 especially with CP.

Also close by, let me know if you want to have a few runs from the line. Keen to see the difference between comp pack vs non comp pack

Seems there are a number of us in this area. Would be good to meet up. I always see M3’ And M4’s in this area and wonder if they are on here. :fencelook:

This was at the Michelin Cup M4 CP vs M3 Std >>Here<<

As you can see from the video, the rear of my M3 slid around a bit as I was struggling for Traction, but that being said, I feel the CP would always have the slight edge over a std M3.
