F30 ventilation issue.

Hi guys

I have a 2014 330d F30 with 1200km on.

My issue is as follows: When I start the car the ventilation always revert to feeding air towards the feet/face of the passenger. It didn't always do this.

I then set it to vent the face area only. When I have locked the car and start it again. It's AGAIN venting the passenger's feet and face.
Why does it not remember the setting I set it on and left it on??

Anyone have a clue what's going on?

It's set as a default, mine always comes on but just out the "face" vents.

I either just leave it, but lately with cold weather just switch it off.

If I'm not mistaken you have to go through the menu and set it to your preference. So try that

Ok, thanks. I'll try. It's just strange to me that it starting doing that by itself. When I got the car 2 weeks ago. It was always preset to face. Then one day, it changed it's mind?

The issue was the key, it couldn't 'remember' the setting the car was on when I turned it off. I took my spare key and the issue was solved.

I now have a different issue regarding the aircon. When I start the car, the aircon comes on by itself with the fan. Although the green little light is off.

Has anyone heard of such an issue on the F30?
My salesman told me the F30 had/has the problem of the aircon not switching off, when you deactivate it by pressing the button.

Maybe my issue is related? Can someone please shed some light regarding this?

Hey Riaan,

I had the exact same issue on my previous F30 320i. The car has been replaced due to service light popping up for oil change every 1000km.

All I can say is goodluck! :yuck:

Skiet, did they manage to fix the ventilation issue? At what stage did your 1000km light start acting up?

Tell me a little more of how it all went down, please?
