F30 Seat belt buckle

Hi all

I hope someone can advise me on the following. Is there a way to open the rear seat belt buckle / receptacle on a BMW F30 320i? This is the part that has the orange button to push and release the seat belt.

My button was stuck down, and I sent it in to BMW who say something is stuck in the receptacle and quote over R2000 to replace the part.

I will try to check more myself, but was hoping there is a simple way to open the mechanism up and remove the obstruction instead of paying R2000 for the part.

Or does someone know where I can get the part at a cheaper price and is it difficult to replace?

Thanks

You can remove the seat and then remove the seat belt buckle.
Then investigate if it’s possible to open up.

If you have to replace, go to a scrapyard for a replacement part.

Thanks. Will have a look at removing and seeing what can be done

Ok, so eatbelt clip was not too difficult to remove, other than not having the correct torx bit. But after some struggle, managed to dismantle the clip and remove paper that was stuck, and all is working correct.
