Not sure if this is the right section but as it is applicable to B47 motors then here goes: When servicing my car recently i was busy pouring the oil into the engine via the oil filler cap. I always use an old bmw anti freeze bottle cut in half and as per normal i just kept pouring in the oil until i noticed oil running past the lower part of the bottle (the bottle is used upside down) and i noticed oil coming past the cap part of it. Then only realized that the oil in the engine is not draining fast enough and was coming past the bottle and tappet cover spilling on the engine. I was upset about it as i do not like a dirty engine but it was too late. My advice to all B47 engine owners doing your own servicing to be careful when filling with oil.
