F30 M3

I saw something strange today in Alberton coming out of the Alberante Dealership on a MF Panelbeaters lowbed.

It was a F30 M3 (4 door), with quad tailpipes and M3 badge on the back, with MPerformance stickers on side sills like my car, but the mags were all different and looked like the front bumper had been ripped off.

Wonder if its some sort of test vehicle or something, any clue if the F30 M3 has been launched or will it be launched soon?

Sorry I could not take any pics, driver was too quick for me.

New M3/M4 isn't due until June next year as far as I know. And the M4 will release before the M3 (CocoPops can probably confirm though).

Early 2014 in the US, we are usually a couple of months behind on release dates.

Could be. Unless someone has spent a large amount of cash tuning a 335 to put similar specs as the M3? Dunno, speculation!:roflol: Did it have number plates that you could see? I know that we do get test vehicles out here cos of our varying conditions. I remember seeing the Alfa Giulietta on the N3 by Edenvale just before they got launched,and they were not trying to hide it at all. So very possible it was a test vehicle.
Other than the damage, did it look the business though??

South africa is a common place to test performance cars due to our climate.. did it have those funny camo stickers all over it?

No it was plain white front bumper was off, windscreen looked like it had damage, no attempt to disguise it, some mags were black others silver, could be just replaced to make the car mobile to get onto Lowbed, definitely had quad pipes M3 badge and had this MPerformance sticker like I have on my 335

No buldge in the bonnet. No side vents. Completely different front bumper. Fogs. Not the same blue as the m3. Who are these people confusing the car with an m3?
