technical F30 limp mode

Good morning guys,

Looking for some help/advice this morning please.
The strangest thing has happened twice now following a similar sequence of events which results in limp mode.

It seems that when the vehicle is unlevelled for whatever reason at full turns to the left or right, i.e.: going off a high curb or onto one, the car goes into some sort of limp mode.

It refuses to accelerate until the car is turned off and back on again or gearbox is placed back into park and then drive (Not sure what actually resolves the issue)

I am sure this isn't normal, what could be the cause? steering angle sensor?

its a 2018 320i A/T with 71k on clock if that helps.

Thanks in advance :)

I don’t think so, no warning lights or messages appear.
Sorry that would be the alarm not limp mode.

Are all your fluid levels correct, maybe if oil is low it would read as very low and temporarily cut power?
Or there may be a loose wire or sensor that is getting disrupted in the movement which is causing the vehicle to go into limp mode - would be hard to source.

If you are able to scan for codes it might give some insight.

Hey bud, run a diagnostic on the car. If you still around, I have the OBD connector and Carly app to scan

Howsit bro, back in Centurion 🙁 shot for the offer. Car is booked in at BMW for a service and will have them check it over..chances are, they will not find the issue or be able to duplicate it👎
