F30 LCI timing chain issue

So I have heard that the new F30 lci cars have a timing chain issue , it develops a whine after some time , has anyone experienced this ?
Apparently the dealer has told me that they replace the timing chain and some other part with a new upgraded part .

Anyone experience this? How long does the repair take?

Tensioner issues? Like the older 2.0d motors? This is not good news..
