Just want to say the F30 is certainly some impressive creation. It looks assertive and has presence even by just glancing over photos imho. When cars are released most people say "I'll pass judgement when I see it in the metal" but I will say this looks good straight out of the box. Cant understand how people nit pick about the gap between the grilles and headlights, yes it is new, that styling element hasnt been seen before. What I noticed is that the spacing between the grilles and headlight make the front end look wider, which is a good thing, and allows the kidneys to be positioned more forward, in that you notice the sides exposed on the grilles, which gives some idea of how big and prominent the grille actually is! The only gripe I have is the rear, which could have been a bit less boxy and more smoother ala F10.
BMW also get thumbs up for offering it in 3 lines + MSport, as it now offers customers much more variation to choosing how their BMW looks. Previously with the E90 (I owned one) , one would think jeez "I'm lost in a sea of commoness" with everyone owning vehicles that looked the same, and because of the popularity of the model, you end up thinking "Am I driving something special besides the badge, when everyone else has the same thing?" People are individuals and most would prefer to be special/different than be a driving around in a clone car, when you buying at this end of the market, you certainly want to feel special in your vehicle, and not just be another member of the pack.
