F30 idling

Howzit, needs to pick you'lls brains please:
It seems my 320d idles for a few seconds after switch-off; so if I release the clutch immediately after switch-off it will lurch forward.
Is this normal?

I also have a manual 320d f30 but i usually park in neutral so i cannot say that i have that problem. I use the handbrake to keep the car from going any where when parked except when on an incline, then would use the gearbox as well. Will make a note to check how long after switch off the engine still runs and come back to you.
