F30 B48 Oil Filter Housing

Hi Guys, Did anyone have an issue with B48 Oil Filter housing failure and was there a recall for this in South Africa?

I just replaced one on someones car was a 2017 f30 320i with 120k on the clock, the car just randomly started leaking water and after stripping off the intake i traced the water leak to the housing. Replaced it with a new housing and the car is sorted now. If i can figure out how to load the picture of the old housing i will

Interesting, Mine is also 2017 320i with 124k on the clock. From what I heard, it's seems to be a large number with this issue. I was curious to know if they were recalled. Sad to note, Bmw extended warranty doesn't cover this.

Thats odd, i thought that was the point of an extended warranty. There is obviously an issue with a part on the engine so they should replace it.

Yes, they say the oil cooler is covered but not the housing and they say it's not part of the cooling system. I am planning to challenge them on this.
