F30 335i smokes on hard acceration take off

Hi guys

I was behind a F30 335i the other day at a robot. Guy took off hard (not sure why, maybe he thought I was in a 135i, lol) so I chased, he predictably opened a car or 2 gap, but after 4seconds I noticed a big puff of smoke from the 335i, then he had to slow down for the next robot.

Has anyone noticed this?

It does shift quickly off line though, the 335i.

They seem to consume quite a bit of oil (see my thread), so may have been related to that. Need to get someone to trail behind me and see if mine does this too if I thrash it...

Also witnessed this on 2x F30 328i's

Not sure if its a B.S story :fencelook: but queried this with a Technician at a Bmw dealership and his answer was that stock maps on the 328i's overfuel
