F30 335i fuel pump module/VVT sensor query

Guys, my friend had a flat battery on his 2013 335i. After getting the battery charged, he was experiencing loss of power under acceleration. He had diagnostics run, and it cam up with faulty fuel pump module and faulty accelerator VVT sensor. Can't comment on the diagnostics, but would low voltage cause this type of malfunction?

IMO I dont think the battery would cause those specific error codes to come up, maybe after the charge those faults were kind of exposed in a way. The 2013 N55 suffered from Valvetronic issues(servo motor/ eccentric camshaft/oil nozzle sprayer). VVT is VANOS, so if theres VANOS codes then it could well be an eletrical issue, although I'm betting that it was Valvetronic 3 codes.
The Fuel pump can also pack up after a long period of time.
Try disconnecting the battery and check if codes persist.

Also just check how badly the battery dropped charge. I know the newer BMW's don't like low voltage and you end up with errors when the battery gets too low.

Its a 335i, he will need a 90amp battery....but the latest OEM ones are 92amp. 

Then (as per the whatsapp group), he must get it coded to adjust the battery charge rate. 

Then clear all codes and run the car again...

yeah make sure that the battery is coded once replaced and clear the codes.
