F30 330D - Software

Well I like the work from TMSS, their pipes are a work of art. I had previous issues before with other tuners with regards to pipes and software. Decent pipes are hard to come by and I am comfortable with the work done at TMSS.

I will be going with TMSS on my DP, will let you guys know how it turned out.

Thinking of going with Madness Motorsport on the software because I also have a 1.9tdi with bigger turbo, intercooler etc but hate the black smoke and heard that Madness Motorsport provides a "clean" map. I had a long conversation with Claus on the phone and seems like a straight oke.

btw, the 1.9tdi modified is faster than the Z4 ///M. Cant wait for the 330d with software :cartel:

Let us know how it goes, would be keen on before and after dyno runs on the same, properly calibrated dyno. :smilebounce:

I have the F30 so i would imagine the same power? :cartel:

A lot more has gone into the Madness 330d than just software and exhaust

Do you know what other modes are done?

I was with RK motion for a year and now with Madness Motorsport, My previous car was with ChipLogic...

Read through the vendor forum, have a chat with the tuners that grab your interest and then take it from there. Plenty reviews around as well but the most important things will be:
1. Trust - You need to trust the tuner with your car...and the tuner is the person so a person can affect the brand name in either positive or negative...so choose carefully.
2. Power - This is not all that you are chasing, you need to be able to get a tune that is reliable, safe for your car and can make you happy enough...If you only want power and don't really want reliability etc, all this must be told to your tuner. 9.5/10 every tuner will say they can make your car tuner pink when it boosts over 2 bar but its up to you to see reviews and figure the bullsh*t.
Also you want the car to put the power down well and not be a dyno queen but struggle to use the power or the drive becomes uncomfortable due to rough graph, increased map limits everywhere and anywhere...etc.
3. Quality - ECU tuning - you will need to judge the tuner on how they handle the car and then also hardware wise, you need to use someone reputable or else you end up with kak jobs and leaking DP, leaking exhausts etc etc.

Good luck in your search...you got a beast already, the right tune is going to be so EPIC!!! :praise:

+1
Don't feel forced into anything.

lost this post, apologies for no update. 330d ran well since the map in 2019.
