F30 330d Last Motorplan Service

The service indicator on my F30 330d went on today. The car is on 93000km, so I have one service left under motorplan. According to the computer it's an engine oil service. The front brake pads have about 3000km left and brake fluid must be changed January 2018, so those will be covered (I plan on taking the car in January). There's a couple of small niggles I want them to check (driver sticky door lock and sunroof doesn't auto close).

What else can I ask them to take a look at? I want to get the absolute maximum out of this service.

Have your suspension wear and tear items checked as well.. Also make them run all Software updates to have the Latest on the Gearbox, Motor Electronics, Idrive etc..

You could possibly get a gearbox service out of them as well if you’re lucky.

On the 8-speed boxes 5th to 4th downshifts are jerky and/or there is a pronounced whining sound in reverse.

Apparently they don’t really service the gearbox unless these issues are brought up as they seem to be common.

I would take the car to a suspension place to have the usspension looked at as well as to get underneath the car to do your own inspection. Check the brake disk for wear as well. THe wifes car was bought just out of MP and BMW skimped on the disk, so I might have to change disks before the pads wear out.

As others have mentioned, get the suspension checked out, especially control arms and bushes, shocks....

I suggest that you drive the car really hard this December to burn those brakes down....

Get the wiper blades changed as well.
