Hello guys,

I hear that the soon to be released facelift 3 series will be replacing the 328 with a 330 , can anyone confirm this ?

how would this affect current 328 owners in terms of resale and support ?

should you still consider a 328 just before the new facelift is launched

F30 340i M Sport and F31 330i LCI Facelift Models Seen With LED Head and Tail Lights

We have the latest F30 and F31 LCI facelift prototypes to show you. Until now, adaptive LED headlights have only been available on the 4 Series, but as we can see, it will soon be available on the F30/F31 LCI models. Alongside the LED headlights, the F30/F31 LCI will also feature LED tail lights.

As seen before, these prototypes show a restyled front bumper, deeper inset headlights (from the beefier bumper design) and shapelier kidney grilles. The M Sport bumper seen for the first time here doesn't appear to undergo much changes.

According to our latest info, the 335i becomes the 340i with the LCI refresh and its N55 engine will be replaced by the B58 engine when production begins next Summer. The following year (2016), the 328i becomes the 330i and its N20 engine will be replaced by the B48 engine.

The 3 Series LCI models begin production next July (2015).

So far that's all I read about on the net.

"the 330i and 340i model names will make a comeback. The new generation B-family of engines will be used and the 330i will be sporting a 2-liter turbocharged plant making close to 270 HP, while the 340i will be pushing closer to 330 HP out of a 3-liter inline 6"

I think this , if indeed it does happen , will effect current owners of their cars in the same way as when BMW replaced the 328i E46 with the 330i

Depreciation , yes is normal , but there will still be a market for it , many don't care to much about whats at the back ... Iv always wondered though if this was a cause the car to depreciate faster then if bmw kept the same numbers.
