F30 320d Town Consumption

Following my post on the consumption of my F30 320d on the open road, I have some more runs but this is on my daily commute to work and back.

Trips are mostly in ECO PRO in D with Auto Start/Stop engaged while stuck in traffic half of the time or crawling along, then obviously some hard footed SPORT + DS fun when I hit the winding roads on the home stretch.. :=):

These 3 trips average out at 7.63l/100Km:

With the F30 320i

Mixed driving gets around 9-10l/100km

On the open road that comes down to 7.5l/100km

All done in comfort mode with start/stop disabled and heavy foot.

Will try and get up some pics

I am guilty of loving the torque so I plant it in the corners whenever I get a chance, so my cons is higher but still not bad considering this includes peak hour traffic twice a day! :praise:

I get 5.7-5.9 in town city traffic, got 5.2l/100km on my 1080km trip to East London with cruise control on 140km/h, with some short .flat food bursts every now and again.

Oh this is in my E90 Lci

And that's precisely why I want a diesel :bravo:

Very good consumption figures!

I really don't get the start/stop function on a diesel - just wears out the starter motor for a really minuscule amount of fuel saving compared to a petrol engine which does use a more fuel when idling, but even then, not going to wear out the starter motor for this... :nonono:

My consumption is now at 8/100 in eco pro with no hooliganism.. New engine is due for 1st service in 400km so perhaps this will improve again after it goes in? :fencelook:
