just pulled the trigger on this bad boy...what a flippen machine!
2013 320D MSport - with 70K kms. so still some mileage left on the plan

after 2 days of driving loving the decision I made to go tractor, and so stoked that I found this deal (basically cost the same money that my wife's 1 series cost demo 2 years ago)

I can’t believe this was 5 years ago.

I Had to get rid of the trusty tractor in July 2020 due to unfortunate unforeseen circumstances with work (because of CV19)

It was a great machine of a car that had not a days problem (whomever ended up buying it from WBC) got a great deal

Not that there’s been almost any daily running since then but thankfully the Mrs Orange 1 series has been doing duty (although a large readjustment from my trusty D)

They're the best option if you want to get out of a car quickly, in most cases they pay more than dealerships. Simplest option really.

Exactly they paid quick, I was out of the car within 2 days of hearing the news I was being retrenched. (& the paid slightly more than any offers the dealerships were making

tend to disagree. a toyota dealership offered me R20000 more than we buy cars for a car i sold a few years back.
we buy cars but i guess it comes down to the make and model of the car(supply and demand in the market)

A question I suppose, which I’ve never been able to answer, & always had the suspicion that it was so...having always either traded in a vehicle or sold it outright.
I always was under the impression that if you weren’t trading in for something at that dealership then they have no incentive to buy your car from you at a decent price (unless you have a super high value car that they can sell for high profit/quickly)

I think they have changed from 2 years back when they were just low balling people. Now they actually paying a decent price from a few cars sold to them by friends recently.

I have heard that alot of dealerships are struggling to get used car stock because most cars and being bought by WBC and people are getting better values from them vs trading in at dealerships.

I have heard that alot of dealerships are struggling to get used car stock because most cars and being bought by WBC and people are getting better values from them vs trading in at dealerships.

They paid 140k.
It had 165000kms on it a couple minor cosmetic things that needed to be fixed (gravel chips on the front bj per mainly) and a rear fender bump

They also do not fix damage from what I can tell and sell all vehicles as is and never negotiate on their price.

Yes most of their cars haev some pretty glaring but easy to fix issues they don't bother with. I apperciate it on one hand since you can see whether or not a car was cared for but it can also detract from the enjoyment of buying a car

Yeah I never actually checked once it was gone what they sold it for. We actually kept my Mrs. 1 series thinking we didn’t need the extra room (and it had less mileage) roll around April 2021 & we have a new member of the family & now we need the space.

I miss my tractor every day...

Ahh man, not enough post count to give us that offer - pitty. I am sure it would have sold very quickly!

So possibly sell the 1 series and get an SAV? X1 or X3 maybe? Can get a diesel again then too ^^
