Hi everyone. I recently got my new car and im finding it hard to find a propper explanation of the 3 driving modes. Most websites dont tell me what the driving modes do when selected but only as a slight overview. And also most give for the 320i and 328i etc with sport+. Is there a difference for the 320d??

I was hoping someone could explain to me the actual difference between driving modes in the diesel, please note im driving a manual. The owners handbook doesnt really explain that much bit activating and deactivating? Any advice and help is much appreciated!

In a manual without sport package / m sport package the only difference you will have between the 3 modes in throttle response and steering effort. Comfort will have lighter steering than than sport and eco. Throttle will have a more aggressive map in sport and a very lazy map in eco.

I had a 320d. It had the 4 modes. Sport + is fun

Jokes aside. Keep it in comfort for a daily drive, on Economy mode you just have to push the thing too hard as it does not boost. Sport sharpens up throttle response as mentioned above. :=):
