F30 '14 320D and John Deere Diesel cleaner

Took my car in for a oil service at Sandton Auto. Complained about the performance, where I couldn't keep up with an A1 1.0. They told me to use John Deere diesel cleaner before filling up with Sasol 10ppm. Comments?
PS The car wash is an altogether different story too(brake dust still on rims, etc.

next thing they'll tell you to service it at Agrico & give you a tractor as a courtesy car? i would get it dynod if it were my car & see what its pushing & where.

I think CCT runs the carwash there so speak to fuzz about the wash. F30 320d getting beat by a 1.0 A1 means theres something bigger wrong. No amount of John Deere diesel cleaner will fix that. Maybe get an opinion from another workshop.
