discussion F25 X35i charge pipe options

Howzit all,

So after a few years, the CUD hit and I picked up a 2012 F25 X3 35i M-Sport from WBC. It looked good on paper and in person... but within a week the usual problems have started appearing, starting with the charge pipe crack at the mounting.

Can anyone suggest options for a replacement charge pipe that will last longer term? Not keen on the OEM plastic as I'm sure it will just break again after a couple of years or less.

I've read some of the threads on other N55 charge pipes however it does seem the F25 pipe is different to the F30/E-series cars.

Thanks in advance, will post a new ride thread soon once it's running and cleaned up.

Sorry to hear about the problems you are experiencing.

Unfortunately the chargepipes are a common problem and its merely a matter of time before the original pipe breaks regardless if the car is modified or not.
As for the type of pipe, grab yourself a uprated aluminum chargepipe as these will outlive the car.

Fitment wise - we can confirm that the F series chargepipe does work on the X3(done a few already).

Thanks Danny, that should make finding one much easier, do you have any for N55 F Series or know where I could ? I was also wondering, is the boost pipe also as prone to breaking?
