F20 Coolant Or Water Refill

Good Morning

I wanted to find out does the F20 show when you need to refill water or coolant at a specific time, the car is on 85182KM.

Technically you shouldn't need to refill, but the car will let you know when it is low.

If you are refering to whether the car will let you know when to change the coolant, as in a coolant flush, I do not think so.

If the coolant is low, it will warn you. If it does warn you, take it to BMW to check it, the F20 has a common issue with leaking coolant or leaking radiator.

Also has issues with a Coolant Reservoir sensor.. So could get a false alarm or Worse none! Our 118i had that, needed a new sensor..

Good Evening

So I’m with my uncle who drives a F20 118i and we were just chilling and I asked to see his engine bay for me to discover that my coolant bottle is leaking and there is some white stuff dripping also.

I’m glad I saw this soon before a worse encounter, will try during the week to pop by the dealer and get the pipe changed whatever else needs to get changed.

Bud maybe have them check the Exhaust Solenoid... It gave me a drive train warning but it's also a small fix

Yes got the car back on Friday it was in for two days, will post pics later and the sheet of what they changed.... I was lucky to get a courtesy car which was the F20 LCI 120i and it was amazing.

Thanks Bud, When I took it in I told them again after I wrote what is wrong and what should be checked, when I got it back I asked them again and they said it’s all fine nothing wrong with it... I guess in future I will have to get it checked out again.
