F20 Auto Detail

this might be the wrong section... but i have always had my cars auto detailed mostly using swissvax and getting it done at a pace near Race! in kyalami. i would always do the detail after about a year of owning the car. But i was wondering would it be a bade idea to auto detail a New car? i just like how the paint looks afterwards makes the car look better than it came from showroom. and is there anybody that you guys know of that can do a detailing service but without me having to leave my house?

Could you please let me know what products you will be using ?

What products do you suggest? Swissvax is expensive I've heard from the guys that normally do my cars that Auto Finesse is a good alternative?

Menzerna and collonite 845 for me.
Today I tried meguires ultimate wax.
Smells nice and easy to apply by hand.

Water beads right off and from what it says on the label is quite good as a protective sealant.
Not sure how long it lasts though.

I found collonite to be good for 3 months

Clay - the whole Megs clay treatment

We will use either Mothers Cleaner polish, or Meg's M82 - depending on the presence of swirling and severity.

Next we'll go for some IPA

Then use Mothers Seal and Glaze to well, seal and glaze

Last stop, Mothers Pure Carnauba Wax

But on a serious note: IPA - isopropyl alcohol, also known as Rubbing Alcohol. It is a cleaning liquid used after the polish and before a seal to properly clean the surface of any polish that remains and also to uncover anything that might be hiding any surface blemishes :bravo:

This is true also, but it is just more precautionary on our side than anything, just to ensure that the blemishing is gone fully before we start finishing the car off :rollsmile:

We get it at Dischem - it's like 40 bucks for 500ml, find it at the first aid section
