F20 125i consumption

I'm averaging 9.8 l/100 after 5000kms

I bought the car with 15000 on the clock, it was around 11.5 when i got it. Therefore the 9.8 average implies a lower consumption fugure over the last 5000kms.

What do you get out of your 125i?

btw I am susceptible to only sporadic bouts of hooliganism; most of the time is spent in Eco-sport mode.

When I drive my moms f20 125i I get about 9l /100km on the dot thats in comfort.
In sport its about 9.4l

My 116i is 9.2l in town with granny driving lol
7 -8.2l on long trip

My wife uses the 125 daily, traffic to and back from work, in Normal mode average per tank is between 8-9l/100kms. This includes my hooligan driving as well.

My X1 2.8xDrive (Also N20) averages 10-11l/100kms per tank with similar driving conditions.

still a far cry from BMW's quoted figures of around 6.4!
But I think there's is calculated over an average speed of 100km/h.

According to my knowledge the average fuel consumption does not only look at the last 5000kms, but from the last time the average consumption figure was reset.

Yes, average of duration since reset. I got the car at 11.xx and reduced it to 9.8 without a reset. I don't know if there was a reset in the preceeding 15k.

It is reset only when the battery is disconnected though I think.

You can perform a manual reset, by pressing and holding the BC button when the average consumption is displayed. This will help you to see your average fuel consumption excluding the previous consumption that it had when you git it.

 will try that for a more realistic figure.

Yes thats exactly what I do helps a lot
Sport mode on a long trip is actually very similar to comfort, I think comfort actually uses more petrol as it doesnt have that grunt from sport mode.

Either way I dont really worry too much , just enjoy the car!!

Reset my consumption at 14th ave on N1 till william nicole. About 15kms. In eco pro mode she returned 4.5l/100km at constant 120.
