F20 118i upgrade

Hey guys, new here.

I've had my BMW F20 118i sport edition for about 9 months. And I wish I did my research before hand. It's my first car I've bought myself, and I just went out and got it without realising what I want out of a BMW. Whilst it's a great car, the bug has bit and I WISH I got an M sport version with Xenon lights (I have the boring halogens).
I've done a few small "mods" like changed my yellow halogen bulbs with nicer white xenon-effect ones. (Not cheap bad quality ones, mind you) and vinyled the bottom lip of the front bumper. Whilst it looks a bit more modern now... It's not enough.
So I'm thinking of selling and getting a different BMW. My price range is about 260k, so I've found 2 really nice options.. an F20 125i M sport with ALL the extras.. (M brakes, extended light package, etc) which has done about 91000km, or an f30 320i M sport which has only done 75000km and still has some motor plan left. Both are 2012 models.

So I'm stuck between either of those, or just keeping my car after all... Any suggestions?

I went from owning 2 door hatchbacks to getting a F30 328i and I have never looked back. I would recommend the 320i, but that's just me :coolShake:

I've never heard of an M125i so not really sure what car you're talking about.

Sorry, 125i M sport... If that was confusing. Fixed the OP.

Apparently the 1 series is still in mp as well until a few months into next year. Suddenly the game has shifted..

I basically did exactly the same as you!

I purchased a F20 118i LCI at the end of last year, and had fun with it for close to 10 months before realising that it just wasn't enough. I also had the plain Jane with no M Sport etc. I wanted more power, more speed and more everything. So a month ago, I traded in my F20 for a 2015 (5 months older than the F20) F30 320d. There's no going back now!

I love the increase in power that the f30 now gives me. I love the fact there there are more tuning options for engine upgrades, as well as, loads more f30 mods for the exterior. Not forgetting the extra space that the f30 gives me, it's just more comfortable.

It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I prefer my f30 now over the f20 and would make the same choice again and again.

Good luck with your situation! Check the autotrader website for what's available and make sure to shop around. Don't get mixed up in all the excitement because you don't want to be in the same situation again 5 months down the line.

I was at BMW today, definitely looks like I'll be able to work it all out. My father has an older E90 320d which is super fun to drive (albeit a bit more uncomfortable than my F20) So i must assume the newer F30 is at least on par, and miles ahead in comfort.
