Hi Guys,

What's your urban & combined fuel consumption for your F20/21?

How close is it to the claimed figures.

I'm getting 9.3L/100KM with CPT town driving since Monday...surely that's too high?

It's been on Eco-pro mode all week and I've been driving carefully just for this exercise. It'll be interesting to see what everyone else is getting!

Cheers.

I get about 8.2l/100. What I realised is for some reason if you give it a little more it gets better consumption. In eco mode you need to really press accelerator to get movement and that just consumes more fuel anyway, i prefer to let the turbo do the work rather than my pedal. I think the car is much better on the long road hey from CPT to JHB think I got between 5,9 and 6.4L/100 on average at 120km/h with the 8 speed box of course.

what is your cars milage? if its still new give it a couple thousand kilometers and should get better. my car started off at around 15l/100 and now after 16000km the overall average is 9.1l/100, got on the higway and drove around joburg in eco pro (only time have ever used it) and the car avaraged 4.5l/100km on that trip, didint go over 90km/h though.

Your 116i is very thirsty bud, I suggest taking it back to the dealer just to be safe

Forgot to mention I reset the the journey meter or whatever it is called. So it's sitting on 200km since I've reset it.

Been on ECO PRO for pretty much 90% of the time.

on a half a tank I've more or less gotten 300km (before i reset the meter) so it's not too bad.

Nice to see some input from everyone!

Edit: The car was bought brand new. is their a "break in" period?

The book says first 2000km do not use full rev range. up to 4500 or so, cant remember exactly. the sales bloke told me when I picked my car up, rev the nuts of it and it was on 26km. so it seems it kinda depends on yourself if you want to go with the book or not.

one thing though, getting the quoted fuel economy figures isnt going to be easy.
