I was hoping that with Bangle gone, BMW would up their game :argh:

Chris Bangle was still at BMW at the time the F20 was designed (back in 2008)

And the more controversial styling elements like the 6-Series and 7-Series trunk were penned by Adrian van Hooydonck, current design boss.

BMW had LED light "bars" in their taillights before VW, and the 1-Series had square shaped taillights in the previous generation already. If anything, the Polo copied BMW lighting elements.

And what is the purpose of a petrol engine that can rev up to 7000RPM and makes its peak power at 4000? It is just like a diesel (the 128i that is) :yuck:

Fugly as hell. Personally I could never buy this as much as I wanna try to like it. I'd rather spend my money on a hot hatch instead: ST or Megane.
