BMW has now released the first official photos of the F20 1 series Performance Accessories Study. It's a showcase vehicle used to introduce the new line of BMW Accessories for the 2012 F20 1 series. No official details yet describing all the parts fitted, but clearly seen are: BMW Performance front and rear bumpers/diffuser which are more aggressively styled than the F20 M-Sport front bumper, sideskirts, black grilles, carbon fiber mirror covers, performance stripes, 19" Performance wheels, and BMW Performance brakes.

The interior features BMW performance steering wheel (alcantara/carbon fiber), alcantara trim, pedals, floor mats, shift knob and boot.

I have to say, I am struggling with the design!

The front looks distorted and the back looks like a copy of the new polo (which is not a good thing). The side profile looks ok. As for the lob-sided racing stripe :wtf:

I was hoping that with Bangle gone, BMW would up their game :argh:

I'll probably see this in the flesh next week at the motorshow, so will take loads of pics and report back on real life looks.

Stripes a bit too much...but in the metal a car always look different than in a picture...so it may appeal to me. But i want a 116 and tune that turbo to skrik the Golfies...

The interiors in those cars are really good looking compared to the previous gen. The front is kinda growing on me but when you see the car at night with those lights on you will think it's a 18 wheeler truck, they are massive :fencelook:

A 128i would be quite a car

Really dissapointed with new shape, its ugly as hell! :thumbdo: Bmw seem to have a new theme going with the 5 series,6 series and now the 1 series.I sincerely hope that the new 3 series doesnt follow in their footsteps.Maybe in the flesh it wont look as bad as in the pics, will have to wait until the motorshow

For me the existing 1 Series "works" in terms of looks and identity - this new 1 Series to begin with looks ugly (no other way of putting it), and with the Polo-like tail lights it starts to lose its distinctive styling! Also for me, the original 1 Series never felt like it was a hatch which actually appealed to me, but this one does, so I think you can see where I am going with this...
