F10 520d Rough Idle

My idling is notably rougher the past year or so, it is not injectors, etc.
Mileage is 221k+
Can it be Mountings?
I am considering taking it to SAC in Centurion, any other suggestions welcome.

I assume you have had the injectors pulled out and tested to confirm its not the injectors?

Probably start with an oil, oil filter, air filter and diesel filter change.
Run a bottle of injector cleaner on a full tank and a long run on the highway (200km+).
Also fill up with good fuel. Sasol or Shell.

Do the easy maintenance stuff before dumping money on a hit and run parts swap out.


BTW, when was the last oil service and diesel filter service? Diesel filters can be omitted very easily.

It is serveiced regularly at BMW still, I did the injector cleaner, do long runs of 400km every 2nd weekend, do only use Sasol diesel.
Its nothing to do with performance, it is only when I put it in Drive, cold or hot, idle or driving, where it feels rough, I had it for 8.5 yrs and it feels different, way rougher.

Have you had the codes read? Sometimes even the intermittent codes can give insight to what be might happening.

I'd get the engine and gearbox mounts checked out.
